Nature Is a language.

The Geological Survey is an audio visual chronicle of the year I spent in the desert of the American Southwest. Created over millions of years, the geology of the Southwest transcribed its past in these stones. I spent months hiking on the iron rich sandstone and each piece is my interpretation of how the rock formation might sound.

I dedicate this to those who are fighting the good fight to help protect and preserve our wild places. In the Western United States, now more than ever, nature needs a voice. A big thank you to my wife for her unwavering support.
